This is a child-friendly version of our main privacy policy. Please read the main privacy policy for more details. In the event of conflicts between this version and the main privacy policy the latter shall prevail.

Our main privacy policy tells you how we use your information when you use our apps. Our apps include Everyday Mental Health by Wysa (“Waitlist app”) and Digital Referral Assistant (“e-triage web widget”) and their services.

Our apps are to help you feel better. The AI Coach is not a real person, and is restricted in its responses. The AI coach cannot give you medical or professional advice. It can only suggest seeing a local clinician.

  • Digital Tools: Resources to help with your feelings and well-being.
  • e-Triage referrals: Get additional help from your Institution (for CYP users).
  • CCBT: Mental health and well-being computerized CBT programmes.
  • Therapist Companion (TC): Connect with your Institution assigned clinician.
  • (Coming soon) Wysa+: A new version of the AI Coach using Generative AI.

What We Collect

When you use our apps, we might collect the following data:

  • About you: Information you give us like your nickname, age range, or gender.
  • Conversation: Text messages that you submit in the app.
  • Health Info: Answers to health and well-being questions.
  • Device Info: Your phone type and operating system. Your screen choices.
  • Cookies: Tiny files that help us run the app.
  • Contact: If you email us, things like your email address and what's in your message.
  • Pharmacovigilance: Your feedback to your Institution for any concerns about your medicines.
  • Institution sharing: To use your information for purposes shared by your Institution. App usage and safety data that we share with your Institution.

Additionally, data we might collect when you use our services:

  • When you use DRA: Information you give us when you fill the referral and assessment forms.
  • When you use CCBT and/or TC: Information about your CCBT progress to your clinician.
  • When you use e-triage referrals (for CYP only): Information you submit to request for help.
  • (coming soon) When you use Wysa+: Your messages sent and used by Gen AI technologies.
  • When you join our testing and research initiatives: Information about you and health info.

  • DRA: Collect and share your referrals with your healthcare Institution for your care.
  • CCBT programmes: Currently available only for research and clinical investigation purposes. Provide access to programmes recommended by your Healthcare Institution.
  • E-triage referrals: Collect and share your support request with your Institution.
  • Wysa+: Provide you with high-quality, and safe responses using Gen AI technologies.
  • Join testing or research initiatives: Use your app usage and feedback to improve safety, experience and quality of our apps.

How We Keep It Safe

  • Legal grounds: Every processing we do has a legal basis as per UK data protection laws.
  • Strong Passwords: Only authorised people can see your data at our end.
  • Encryption: Protects your information as it moves.
  • Checks: To remove any personal identifiers you submit. This keeps your private details safe.
  • Data in UK: Stored safely on UK cloud servers.
  • Storage time: Keep it with us only for the time agreed with your Institution. Where not provided, keep it for upto 10 years.
  • No Ads: We do not sell your info to advertisers.
  • Reset My Data: Delete your messages anytime from your app settings.
  • Responsible AI: Build safeguards to ensure AI responses are safe during conversations.
  • (coming soon) Gen AI safety:
    • What you talk about is never stored at Gen AI.
    • Your messages are not used to teach or train Gen AI.
